Per the article:
To be fair, I can't comment directly on how much of an on-time machine QF is given I don't regularly fly with them (preferring to travel with their upscale brand, JétStar). But would be interesting to hear people's experiences flying QF recently with regards to on time performance. One benefit of flying an airline with poor on time performance is the potential for collecting compensation for late arrivals. For instance, a major delay on a route like SYD to MEL could yield €600 compensation per EU261, if that sector was part of a larger trip (i.e. AMS to MEL).

Just 48% of Qantas Sydney departures on time in April
Less than half of Qantas departures from both Sydney and Melbourne airports were on time during April – significantly lower than all its major rivals.
