Qantas Sydney International Business Lounge

If you’re still there, stagger down to the far western window on look down on the J lounge.
Ah sorry that was about 48h ago before we ended up in London.

I'm interested that this upgrade is going ahead despite the proposed move of QF international operations to T2/T3 once the terminal upgrades and international infrastructure is built there, which presumably includes new lounges. Or will QF have international ops at both terminals going forward?

Nothing concrete about QF consolidating at T2/T3. That’s just part of SYD airports master plan. Much of which may never see the light of day. Joining up T2 and T3 probably will go ahead for increased retail space.

What's proposed would be nowhere near large enough for all of QFi., and still I suspect years off.
I think at best we see a possibility of narrowbody international (so NZ, Pacific, maybe Bali).
Countries that have less risky pax flows possibly allows for more express pax flows.

Would also mean the 737s and future 321s don't need to be dragged across the airport on a regular basis.

So who is going to be the first to visit the temporary Gate 31 Business Lounge??
The lounge meetups thread is fairly empty for December.
