Seems like I hit a couple of these

One on 29th November literally shifted me from morning to evening flight. No no no - did a change back to the same time, same route, different flight number hence this thread

The other one is a flight number change - Syd to OOL same time, same route, different flight number

Ps alerted to this by @blackcat20 in another thread and now copped a couple of these myself.

Would seem this is going to be an issue for forward bookings which is a pain point pushed onto the customer to sort out

Yes, I got hit with this too. Had to change a couple of bookings. Of course, I had nothing better to do with my time than wait on hold for Qantas and then wait.

I also had a business class flight MEL-CBR which had to be changed to Y on a Dash-8, due to major schedule changes. Well done Qantas.

I have a couple of all J DSC bookings early Feb 2027
Cash chc-mel-ool-mel-akl-mel-ool
Pts ool-mel-bne-syd
Last week had a couple of mel-ool or mel-ool flight time changes such as ool-mel changed from 9:15am-12:35pm to 9:25-12:50pm
Todays email points ool-mel & bne-syd both have flight number changes with aircraft change from QF 737 to Qantaslink A220.
Didn't have to do anything. Qantas auto have sent thru updated e-tickets each time.
I'll check seats tonight but no biggie.

Sounds like they are shuffling all the OOL flights, as that's what mine are too (but to/from MEL).
I now looked at the original and new itineraries

The flight from Melb to OOL 22 Nov was a flight number change

The flight on 29 Nov is Bris to ADEL 9.15 am
It is a change of flight numbers but bizarrely, it moved me to an 1830 flight that evening instead of onto the same time flight. I rectified that as I deliberately booked the morning flight as I got an event on that afternoon

Happens to HBA flights - the A220 flights have certain flight numbers QF12XX; if there is is B737 sub, a new flight number occurs.
LST went through that with A220 and E190 between SYD.

Lucky for me so far just minor flight time changes & then just flight number changes at same time.
Pts booking ool-mel-bne-syd from last weeks changes now has 40min connection in Mel which is the MCT.

Just had a look at my pts ool-mel-bne-syd booking
Ool-mel 10min flight change & bne-syd flight just a flight no. & aircraft type change from B737 to A220
Currently seat 2A in all segments.

probably has something to do with QQ and QF’s new wet lease arrangement. QQ’s ASX announcement says the QF wet lease is dropping from 30 to 23 aircraft

It's usual for Quntas. I always have at least 2 dozen flights booked for 12 months ahead. It is completely annoying that almost every one will be altered for flight time (often 5 mins departure or arrival), flight number, change from Quntas to Quntaslink or vice versa or myriad other minor changes.

My ADL-CBR E190 J changed to Dash-8
Make sure to claim OCR if it was a paid booking that would earn, or PC.
They might give you an empty seat, (shadow), who knows, but still, not ideal.
I do like the Dash8, but it does leave a bad taste when a person pays J for a something with a semblance of plush, and get a tin can plane,
At least you get lounge access still/still get lounge access.
