HI I am looking some help with Qantas status run, I need 180 status credits & 4 qantas sector to qualify for silver need some help what is easiest & cheapest way to make this happen I only got 3 months to get this ...

Also question after April what happens to my 120 status credit become zero or how does it work after april???

Please help

Cheers

Agreed with Lilkid28. There were two benefits to being QFF Silver but both of them rather negligible: RFID baggage tags and priority check-in for international flights. But those few times a year I'd check in a bag, it's slightly more convenient and faster but not much. If you do plenty of international flights, then the check-in / bag drop with much shorter queues is nice but that's all.

Is that worth paying $1,500 for is the first question to answer. If it is to you, get something like return in business ADL - CHC and you're sorted.

And to your question about status credits (SC). The annual tally that determines your status is cleared at the change of your membership year, so on 1 May you'll start with 0 SC again. But the accumulation of SC's is kept in your lifetime SC tally and once you hit 7,000 SC's over time, you'll get QFF Silver status for life and 14,000 SC gives you QFF Gold (based on the current rules).

Rather than asking about the status run to get to Silver, you need to ask whether its worth it for the following year. Are you intending to do enough travel after April to make Silver worthwhile? No point spending time and money on a status run for silver (especially "just" for Silver) if you're not going to get any benefit from it.

f you only plan on doing only one of two trips next year, I would suggest its not worth it. If you plan on doing enough travel next year to get to sIlver again, or even higher, then yes its probably worth aiming for. If you're planning on doing any trips in Business class next year, you'll get all the benefits of silver, in fact more, just purely on the basis of having a business class fare.

Agree.. Use your airmiles to buy QC membership.. That is what I do the years I miss out on my QF Gold status.

I agree with others that the benefits may not be there - but you know what - if you want Silver - GO FOR IT. Ignore the haters.

The easiest will be a bne/syd/mel - AKL return in biz with some QF connections.

Will cost you somewhere between $1500 and $2000 to get there.

Good luck!

Or a short trip to the UK in Y!! Get some domestic via's and Singapore to bump up the status credits. Should be under $1,500 at the moment. Think of it as a movie marathon... I know my 9 year old son does...
