Qantas starts international wifi

Very nice landing of the boosters.

Still a couple of burns and 5hrs until the satellite is deployed, and then some more time to raise to final deployment and deploy the panels (which is where things went wrong for F1)

VH-ZNB due back overnight, likely taking 787s to 10/14. Will do an update once we get a confirmation on VH-EBQ (hasn't flown since arriving SYD Wed night)

EBV in service today

So the 332s are practically complete - in that every flying aircraft has Wifi.
The 787s will likely reach that point by end May.

The 333s maybe a couple of months later, the A380s who knows. And hopefully doesn't take too long to find the extra dishes for the ex-SQ 737 aircraft

Just checked my flight for Tuesday (QF93 with coverage over most of the Pacific) showing ZNH but Wi-Fi unavailable. Is the app's database just lagging behind or does the hump not necessarily mean the service is operational?

Can report the 737 sh!tbox Mel- akl last week had fairly solid wifi all the way.
Was not expecting it as the computer said no when I checked but was announced by crew and there it was.

Better than Air NZ, real patchy HBA-AKL in March, non-existant ALL-HBA a few days later

And VH-ZNL off the HKG tonight as QF6009 likely making it the antepenultimate (had to look that up) 787 getting Wifi Internet.
