Qantas starts international wifi

Booked a flight to Jakarta (A332) and I was so sure I would have WiFi... Turns out I'm on VH-EBP today which is one of the only ones without WiFi

VH-EBM back from AUH.. To be determined if Wifi was installed.
QPF off to AUH instead.

You know i just had a thought even after Viasat F3 is fully launched and operational, would it cover routes like SYD-JNB which goes through Antarctica (or close to), wonder if a route like that would be too South for proper coverage.

Doing a SYD - DRW - SIN milk run on VH-XZI today.

Wifi was excellent between SYD and DRW; DRW to just before Dili - wifi worked well. It then dropped out until about South of Sumpit (Central Kalimantan). Since there up to into Singapore it worked well.

All in all a very nice milk run - neighbour free on both flights in emergency row.

EBQ just returned from seven days in BNE maintenance, so like EBM it might have been fitted. Just need to wait for someone to fly on it or photograph it

So just need a report on EBQ.

Yes, but another one has flown up to HKG recently so presumably getting wifi installed. I had a look through the other day to see which 789s had been up to HKG with 6000 flight numbers. I didn't take note of which rego it was.

So just need a report on EBQ.

EBQ in Melbourne today with no hump.
