Qantas signs deal with Japan Airlines to exit Jetstar Japan

Wondering if for eg a jetstar flight to japan was booked for later in year and then it changed - what would happen then? I was actually thinking it might be better to buy a JS business seat as would be cheaper and get more scs than qantas economy saver/flex even if booked when double sc on. But would they then just cancel flight? Or if changed to another airline - would not earn points/scs ?
It's not going to change. Jetstar isn't stopping flying to Japan, Jetstar Japan (their domestic airline) is being sold off.
