Qantas says no need to raise capital

Qantas must be in a very strong financial position even with less demand for premium seats and the global financial crisis.
 
Isn't that what Mirvac said about a month before they launched their offer to raise $1.1 Billion.
I think it is more to keep stability in the share price of Qantas.......if you said we need to raise more money it causes the share price to slump.Right now most companies would prefer to have a bit more capital to cover the just in case position during difficult times.
Now we have fuel prices in U.S.dollars rising sharply offset a lot by the AUD having risen 30 per cent from the recent lows.
 
Spin is king ..One of the worst features of the social engineering revolution is that truth is now a (very) moveable feast.
In business , in politics , in the media.. truth no longer matters.
Given that Airlines are capital hungry , and that there is a demonstrated market for capital raisings shrough share dilution .. it seems a no brainer.
