Qantas Salt & Pepper Squid thread

I like this dish but can't see what the fuss is in a so-called first class lounge, as one can buy a serving that size to cook at home from IGA, Woolworths or other supermarkets for well under A$5.

I am no gourmand but even I can see it's hardly haute cuisine.

Something with so few ingredients done well is a joy. Obviously, if done badly, can be unpleasant.

I’ve not had a bad one at the SYD F lounge. Although some have been better than others.

I steered clear for a while. Have found Singapore to be good (though even there a couple of weeks' back the bit I had was average).

Much better with fresh chilli and soy sauce - rather than the aioli - in my view.
