There was a recent bonus points (but not status credits) offer that specifically included EK-operated, QF-marketed trans-Tasman flights.

DSC or no I'm also on the party flight (in 3A)

Going over on the plane in the morning to make a day of it :)

should be a lot of fun! Glad to grab that sale (this one ends tonight) and when I saw the seats had opened up again for sale I grabbed it .

Well it leaves 435 to BNE open I guess, but MEL is the later departure (and I live there so.... :p )

Interestingly it's cheaper in AUD to book a return flight in F ex-Australia than just a one-way in NZD ex-AKL.

EK407 24/3/18 1A & 2A present and accounted for. If this is going to turn into a AFF thing...the clock is ticking for the sale.

Thank you jetpack - I just booked a SYD-CHC-SYD status run in F for ~$2,100 return.

An F sale ex Australia started today. $1.089 one way.

The following is an excerpt from the terms and conditions of the non-targeted DSC offer which was open for bookings between 2 March and 6 March 2017:

'An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status Credits are normally earned, excluding Classic Flight Rewards and any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Valuair, Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Pacific and other partner airlines except for a Qantas marketed flight operated by Emirates between Australia and New Zealand with the following flight numbers: QF8764, QF8763, QF8762, QF8761, QF8770, QF8771, QF8766, QF8765.'

I read that as saying the listed Emirates-operated trans-Tasman flights booked with a QF code are eligible for DSC. I hope I am right :)

These F fares aren't any good for double status credit offers... are they?

IIRC They did not include codeshare flights

Doesn't it depend on the T&C's of the specific promotion?

I've booked for a status run on the 24th ex Melb. In 2k. Looking forward to meeting some fellow members. As my husband works in NZ for large chunks of the year, the F trips have been my indulgence for the last few years. I will miss them.

yes, I think they were not offering the F sale ex NZ.

In the (soon to be) good old days I'd book a J sale over and the F sale back as 2 one ways it could be quite a good SC run.

I'm in 2A on 406 on the way over. Icheers :D

Bummer looks like my long business days in Melbourne saw me miss the cheap F option.

I note could still do points over 54,000 and $131.... and ex-NZ 1273 which is like $117 cheaper than booking ex-Australia. Does say 5 or fewer seats left....
