Qantas qf8 seating

Booked my flight on QF8 in J and have automatically been allocated seat 3A. Can anyone comment on whether this is a good one or if there is something better etc. Looked on Seat Guru but doesnt really give much info

If you are by yourself try 5A or J

Is there a reason or is it just personal preferance (nothing wrong with that )
I see on seat guru that there is no 5a, so am assuming you are meaning 5b. Is that right. I also assume your reason would be because of extra leg room due to exit row

The two window seats on that row are aisle seats and have a fair bit of personal space. There is every chance that seat guru is out of date, look for the 747ER map on the QF site (as I could be wrong with the seat letters)

Thanks, went onto my booking and into the seat selection. It shows row 5 as having seats B&J. Looks like A&K are missing due to the emergency exit and as such I wouldnt think you would get much veiw through the window due to that extra space.

5B it is then. For the "lack" of view, you do get the extra room. If you do search for seat recommendations on the refurbed 747's, this is a seat that gets it's fair share of recommendations.

Thanks for your thoughts. I will go in and change the seat allocation and see if I can get into row 5
