Yes, this is becoming extremely frustrating! I have had 3 changes to my Aug oubound QF107 with 5 seat changes, and now QF12 changed from the A380 to the old 747 seating and 2 more seat changes.

On the original booking from JFK to SYD I had to route JFK-DFW-LAX-SYD to get the A380, which now I would rather just do QF108 all the way.

Actually I am comtemplating just cancelling the whole thing and booking with the other mob.

cheers, Al

ah so I'm not alone with the frustration.

I will be contacting Premium Desk tonight, as I am travelling with a friend and would like to make sure we're both on the same services.

The confusion continues, I was just advised that my flight on QF11 (A380) has been changed to QF107 (A380), and 107 is A388 rather than a 744.

lolwut, I swear this booking is jinxed, have had it change 3 times already

and QF11 is no longer operating on that day either, wtf! (28th Aug)

There is a lot of changes happening with this route;

QF107 is only an A380 on the 28th of August 744 for all the other days;

Below is a timetable from the GDS which shows which days have 744 and which days have 388 on QF11

days
3 QF 011 135 SYD 1 LAX B 1305 0940 0 08AUG12 05OCT12 744 13:35
4 QF 011 2467 SYD 1 LAX B 1305 0945 0 30AUG12 04SEP12 388 13:40

Is QF going to give some of the 747s with First a refurb? You would think now with delayed A380s it would prove Handy for situations like this/more operational flexibility etc. And I know there are a few FFs who prefer 747s.

+1 here. I would prefer to fly a newly fitted 747 F cabin over the A380.

There is a newly fitted 747 F? I thought they were refitting them all to be 3-Class (J/Y+/Y). Where J is on the lower deck.

I would be infuriated if I paid or spent points for F Suites and they were changed to J seats on a 744. I've never been in F on the 747, but I enjoyed thoroughly my time in F on the A380, and I don't think it'd be as nice.

But they arent sold as F Suites on the 3-class. They'e sold as Business Class. You're striking it lucky if you get a first class suite with a business class fare.

Do you mean if you purchase J, but you are on a 4-class 744 and are on the lower deck in the F Cabin?

My post was a response to Noob speculating about the possibility of QF deciding to refurb F cabin on some 747. AFAIK there are no plans to do this....

IMO the only way a change from an A380 to 747 in J would be good is getting a recent refurb or jagging an F seat:D If travelling F then there is no good change from an A380 to 747:shock:

Sorry yes thats what I meant. thats the 4-class plane, with the 3-class service. But I think that is what was being alluded to by the OP.
