But then it's not the sun peeking above the horizon. However, credit to Qantas, they don't need to call in the marketing team should the whole thing fallover and be called Project Sunset.

According to discussion on SydSquad and the routing posted on FlightAware this aircraft will overfly both SYD and LAX heading eastbound for TLS. Looks like a 12,000nm flight, versus 9100nm for the westbound routing.

TESAT is north of Lord Howe Island, A579 is approach to LAX and JORDY is in the middle of Iowa.

Makes the two flights a circumnavigation
