Qantas private function -Cairns

Hi all

Just in Cairns on holiday at the moment and have just walked into a bar that is hosing a private qantas function. Does anyone know what this is all in aid of? Seems very exclusive indeed and I don't think my qc membership will cut it. The entertainment seems black tie.

Can anyone fill me in on what he function is for an if anyone is attending to post is updates just in case qantas are launching anything new.

Probably not a function in honour of pilots or mechanics I would guess!
