When will you learn you say you offer the best prices at qantas.com yet every time i look for a flight I find cheaper else where for example have to go fly Mel to Bangkok on the 28th October returing on the 31st October

Qantas Price $1176.00

Same Flights same day with all charges included on Bestflights.com.au $1011.00 some 14% cheaper than qantas????

Reason 92 why I will not fly Qantas again.

So did you ring to book and let them know there was a cheaper fare available and find out the response?

Yes I did and the response was sorry Sir we cant find that price!!

BUT even if they did how is that I can book cheaper through an agent than I can direct from the source or are they advertising best price online and hoping no one checks?

What about if you took a screen shot or something and emailed to them.. At least screen shot and put on here and red roo may take it up

I agree you shouldn't have to do that, in saying hat though, it could be the first step to improvement, you know, reason 94 to help out others by starting improvement or some other warm fuzzy statement :roll eyes at marketing:

I am tired of making improvement sugestions to QF they just dont listen. Then they make promises they cant keep IE was tiold on Wednesday I was going to be upgraded to the next cabin. Arrive LHR today and told NO cabin is full so no upgrade. Reason 95. Dont promise and not follow through. 28 years of flying QF and NOT 1 single upgrad. Sorry Im getting off topic

It is a common complaint of these price matches that the company claims not to have found the price you are suggesting.

Was it a space available upgrade you were told about? Not much you can do when the cabin is full. That should remain on your account.

Do you expect Qantas to kick someone out of the seat they paid for so you can have your free upgrade?

Don't kick up a stink over something you're not actually entitled to. It gives your other argument no validity.

It makes little sense - even a search on ITA, forcing the flight numbers shown, shows a minimum price of $13xx? Expedia is offering $1030. What's going on?

Took me about 10 seconds to find the price.

Can't think of many reasons why Qantas can't find the price, and none of them reflect very well on Qantas.

Surely that would do the trick. Generally speaking when you want a business to price match another business's offer, the consumer has to provide evidence of the better offer. Sending QF a link is surely enough and would take only a minute and provide the necessary evidence for them to exercise their price match.

It's almost scary how well JQ manage their flight match offer. I've just made 3 bookings for my commutes with them next month and (apart from the one agent who literally couldn't speak English well enough to understand me), it was all straight forward and easy.

A little off topic, but if you elect on JQ for the saver bundle that provides SCs and points, will they match a similar product to that, or only their bare bones prodtc compared to Tiger etc?

I believe they'll only match to the cheapest fare (i.e.: Saver) with no bundles. You can pay for bags, though. I have asked about adding the QFF points bundle and have been told no every time.

The T&C's are unambiguous about this - the only caveat to avoid the cheapest fare is if checked luggage is included in the fare being cough for matching.
