I managed to reach PC+ a couple of weeks before the end of my membership year — my first time as PC+.
A couple of questions to seasoned PC+ members:

1. Status Credit rollover
From my point of view, the main benefit of PC+ over PC is the ability to roll over 100 SCs into the next membership year. Does this happen automatically, or do I need to take any action?
(And yes, I have well over 100 SCs beyond what was required to qualify for my status.)

2. Qantas Club membership
I’m apparently gifted a Qantas Club membership (even though it isn’t very useful to me). Do I receive it automatically, or do I need to request it?
I also believe there’s no way to gift this membership to someone else, but let me know if I’m wrong.

For the QC membership, I'm already WP which is why I said I don't really need it. But it's better to have it than not I guess.
It would have been so much more useful if you could gift it.

If you happen to drop below SG sometime in the future - it might appear. There’s discussion here of a banked year coming into play.

We’re both LTG, one year QP just ends up in the IT bit bucket for us.

That would be nice.
Although I'm not too far off LTG...
