Qantas Points Club Discussion

QF Hotels can also help - a lot.

I usually book with Hilton or Accor direct to get elite privileges and TA commission.

I only use 3rd party sites when there's no alternative. I usually swap my hotels voucher for wine.

Ditto, but a NYC city stay at a name brand worked out significantly cheaper booking via QF Hotels - against by better judgement - but yielded 50k QFF points during an Xx bonus points promo! That was a fair chunk towards PC and partly why PC+ is in play this year.

It's got to be a pretty good promo to beat 10% TA commission + elite perks

You don't automatically get 100sc. I have made PC+ every year it has been in existence.
When I was Platinum, yes I got 100sc, but I dropped to gold last year and only received 95sc
I will retain gold when my year rolls over, but I am only expecting 95sc.
Anyone else get less than 100sc?
The T&C say UP TO 100sc

They will rollover up to 100SCs based on new and eligible SCs earned. For example, SCs earned from a previous rollover would not count; nor would the SCs from the ground earning promotion. Basically, it's if you have earned more than 100SCs in the previous membership year from flying. How many SCs did you earn in the prior year, and from what sources?

Sorry, I really don't remember. I just know I had in my spreadsheet (for keeping tabs on sc earn) that I had listed 100, as I had received in previous years, but only received 95. I have in my list for my next years earn to only expect 95, perhaps I will get even less. Guess I will find out 1 July.

If you want to look into it, it's in your Qantas account where you find the points activity. You can filter in there by membership year and what it is
