The forum rules forbid soliciting for passes. To answer your second question, it's possible, but it depends if you get a lounge Angel or dragon.

Nooo I wasnt soliciting.. the question was can I take my kids.. I am hoping to receive a credit card that will give me the passes but I also may get them from a friend while awaiting the credit card ...and thank re the Angel or dragon lol thanks..

Ahh cool. Follow the advice from steady and you're good to go. Either that or have the forum page loaded for viewing. There is a kids corner also which is handy.

Having asked a very similar question of the lounge staff at OOL... if you use lounge passes you need one for every individual person. Children are only exempt if you have status/Qantas Club.

So what does that mean for Red Roo's confirmation that children can access with an adult on one of these passes ?

Thanks for that, I now have a Club card.. cheers

Do you think the average lounge dragon is familiar with 'Red Roo' as an authorised social media account? I could imagine some odd looks.

I imagine the info provided by the authenticated Qantas rep was first checked against the T&C's and is Qantas's vetted interpretation. Because of this I also believe it is accurate.

IMO the average lounge dragon has less knowledge about the QF T&C's than the average AFFer.

I'd expect that if you referred to "Red Roo" to even the best of lounge dragons that they might ask if you mean the two planes painted in the "Retro Roo" livery.

Depending on when you plan to do it, ie visit the QF QP, that is what we call the QC... they will be noise and vibrations at the moment, started already, as they do work in the QF domestic terminal.
You can feel the vibrations. Jackhammering sort of noise.
Over time, they will also start to do partition works, as they prepare for the upgrade of the QFd QP.
I don't know when they will start major works, but I was there on the 13 Jun, and it not a real nice atmosphere. The vibrations is the main thing.
Ok, most people might not mind it, but peaceful place, its not.
If you are aiming for the J lounge, the works at ground level might also resonate towards it.
Truthfully, I would save the passes for when you go on a family holiday to SYD, personally.
BNE QFd QP has no apron or runway views, its towards the carpark.
But SYDd QP, now that is a great place to pass time.
