Qantas' New A321XLR

Qantas has previously announced plans to refit 42 of its newer 737s with the same interior as new A321XLRs as part of a “fleet harmonisation” strategy.

Chief executive Vanessa Hudson has said passengers would not know the difference whether they were boarding an older 737-800 as opposed to a new XLR.

I wonder if that includes 5 rows of J?

Plane is on the ground in SYD. Anyone at SYD get some snaps of it?

Wonder when Qantas will release the seat maps for the XLR's?
We know the first three XLRs are 20J 180Y.
So 1-5 of AC DF
Then 6-35 of ABC DEF

Later down the track one side of Row 35 will be replaced with an additional Slimline lav, which will be factory fitted from the 4th aircraft.

So no mid cabin lav? That will be fun for transcon.

Don't believe so. Unless I'm wrong about the change to 197Y.

None of the initial 321XLRs have any mid-cabin lavs - EI, AB or AA.
But DL and UA are using them in 321Ns.

AA have mid cabin on their short haul config A321s - pretty much all short haul config A321 full service carriers do (euro carrier less so but they are hardly full service / shorter flight lengths)

Lack of a mid-cabin lav on short haul seems short sighted. Going to have all sorts of issues trying to do a quick service on a MEL-SYD section with a trolley blocking the aisle then.
