Qantas' New A321XLR

The SQ/MI seats could also be re-upholstered along with Wi-Fi and wireless entertainment installed and added prior to entering service (in a faster timeframe) assuming QF does pick up the remaining ex-SQ aircraft and assuming no seat-back IFE is installed.

According to the article, they'll (likely) be the first 737's to undergo refurbishment (new seats, carpets, overhead bins). Would presume they'd fit out Wi-Fi during this process also. As to whether these would count to the 42 committed to being upgraded remains to be seen.

The ex-SQ 737-800s already have the Panasonic eXW wireless IFE installed, although I'm not sure if this is the same as the wifi IFE that QF has on their own 737-800s.

Probably better than the current 737 fleet ones as these would've been at least a whole generation newer for the IFE. But given how new the planes are they may just opt for full refurbish and run them until mid 2030s.

The first A321XLR is on the way.

VH-OGA has commenced its delivery flight to Australia. Currently on the first leg, XFW-BKK.
I imagine given its specs it should be able to then hop BKK to SYD without a stop (with no payload).
