Hey everyone! Just curious if anyone else is having this issue, as I have tried different computers, browsers and times/days. Seems as though shortly after the new "classic plus" launch, I am having a lot of trouble with the multi city search on the Qantas website. I am trying to keep an eye on flights for Feb next year which has been working consistently with plenty of availability for weeks and weeks. but now I keep getting the same error on many different searches which is:

  • We are having trouble processing your booking. Please try again or contact us if the problem persists. (3006)
For the record I am looking for flights from YVR to MEL. Anyone else having the same issue looking for anything different?

Looking to book cash tickets?

Another recent multi city thread.

No, simply searching with multi city! I get this error after hitting search. Not even able to see availability anymore.

for reward seats?

Try just YVR-SYD. Adding on the domestic SYD-MEL could be the issue (and what about YVR-MEL voa main search?)

I try keep it simple but always use multi city even for a direct flight. I add in the domestic sector later. For our next trip that opens up next year the flight out of Sydney is early morning so likely I'll keep the Adelaide Sydney flight as a separate flight. Also booking the two of us as separate tickets in case we can only get one reward seat on return. Then we will cancel one and pay for it.

Strangely I have found out it seems to be something to do with my existing booking that I already have from YVR to MEL.

When I try and manage my booking via the website or the app, I get the same error.

It still shows as confirmed and I received a ticketed itinerary, but I can no longer manage the booking for some reason, and get the same error when searching for any flights from YVR.

Could it be something to do with the airport? I am starting to worry now that there is an issue with the booking and will need to call them.

Having somewhat similar problem with searching flights via PC in the past few days. Never before had this problem, search engine freezes when finding available flights, either domestic or international, for either award or paid searches. Everything else works fine, qff account details, future bookings etc. Have cleared cache, closed and reopened a/c, have even tried not logging on to search for $$ fares and flights. The App appears to work fine on phone but I don't like using that to search/book.
Anyone had the same problem?
Anyone more computer literate with any advice?

I have no idea how, but my issue with the search seemed to be linked to my booking that gave the same error when trying to manage the flight in the app or on the website. I ended up submitting a query/complaint online after I rang them and the girl had NFI what I was talking about. I never received a response from my complaint but it fixed itself within 2-3 days of logging it. Maybe it's coincidence, maybe it was a known issue. I will probably never know lol

glad it sorted itself out for you

There are just some glitchy things about the Multi-city tool that just don't get worked out

Partly, I suspect because QF takes you to their Spanish, German, Canadian website to do the booking (or if its Athens, they are done out of Frankfurt) so there's some geographical assignment done in the back room that's not necessarily iterative. I note some cities have the reward symbol next to them as they can ONLY be booked as reward flights (eg Vigo Spain, and then there's Athens too) and I found it impossible to book these via the mobile phone

there are some starting locations that simply CANNOT be easily booked as rewards (eg you need to string a couple of sectors together to get them to work) and impossibly as cash fares - some of that appears to be if the city concerned has flights as part of the Alliance rewards network or not (back to the Spain example IB fly to Vigo but the next door airport Santiago del Compestola has Vueling as its main airline which isn't on the QF network) and of course, QF only codeshares into Europe with a select few operators...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
