I bought 6 last year, and then a few months later they emailed me saying they sent the wrong ones and sent me another 6.

The original 6 still worked LOL

So ended up with 12 hoyts movie tix. :)

Too bad I cant order more now. I have optus perks but it's annoying to order the tix. hmmmm no qff

Yes, am getting this issue also. Others (Event Cinemas) seem to be fine. If you're an Optus customer, you can get cheap tickets through their perks program
I was about to suggest Optus perks.

How do they compare with the Qantas ones and do you really need to be a customer to get them?

Get a $2 optus SIM or free SIM optus and registered actviate it, no need to pay any money or credit, then u can use optus perks

Not sure if it's still the same process as it used to be, but I had to have my Optus services auto-validated before I could complete registration for Optus Perks (this was a while ago though).

Price and voucher conditions between the two are almost identical from memory.

Thanks.

I use Optus so that's not an issue. I was just asking re the relative costs between the two.

Thanks for the recommendations and confirming that I wasn't the only one having issues ordering Hoyts vouchers. Guess will have to move to event cinemas now ... Telstra thanks also has discounted tickets for event cinemas, no bonus qantas point on that tho

So I have been using these QF Movie vouchers for a while and last night the Mrs & some of her girlfriends went to see a movie and got their tickets rejected.

The cinema said that they haven't been paid for the vouchers and hence are rejecting them all. Mrs Flying Fox had to pay for tickets at a heavy discount for their movie.

Noticed today that if I wanted to buy more movie tickets from the website that there were NO cinemas accessible for 50KMs around ADL. Decided to check SYD and got the same zero result.

Will be following up on Tuesday for a refund but it seems TLC Marketing may be dead.

Anyone else has similar experiences?

I also had trouble purchasing movie tickers from Qantas Movies early last week. It gave me that 'No cinemas within 50km area' error message Flying Fox noted earlier.

Luckily the tickets I have brought previously worked just fine when I redeemed them with Event Cinemas last week.

Have had the same problem. Tried on two different computers across Chrome, Firefox and IE, to no avail.

The other issue you experienced is more concerning. I have one voucher left to use and hope I don't run into the same thing.

I have two rejected vouchers left. Planning to call both QF and TLC Marketing on Tuesday. Will report back to all after I get through to someone.

So I just got off the phone from TLC Marketing (1800 053 676 + Option 3) and spoke to a guy there. In short -

1. He apologised for the inconvenience of having my movie vouchers rejected.

2. Asked for details such as name, date of purchase, how many tickets left & last four digits of my purchasing credit card with expiry details.

3. Will process a refund for my two un-used vouchers (which will take about a week or so).

Overall a good result.

When I enquired, I was also informed that they are no longer selling QF movie vouchers as at 31/03/17 (first I have heard anything) and the website will soon be taken down.

My suggestion, call them now to get your refunds before they change anything else.

Sad, as I enjoyed collecting bonus points for movie tickets.

Yeah, had trouble buying tickets recently. PM'ed Qantas on Facebook, and was told qantas movies is over - watch out for the exciting new offer.
