I got this text message today. I was completely confident I don’t have points due to expire, but I could see a casual observer being taken in by this

Im pretty sure these SMS scams were happening well before the data breach. The scammers know QF FF program is the most common in Australia and are banking on those members who don't fly much to take the bait.

It why although Ive never ever had a CBA account in my life I get similar scam messages impersonating CBA because most Aussies have had a CBA account at some point. Its a number thing.

Apart from the bogus URL, the fact was sent from Philippines a dead give away. Whilst QF has outsourced call centres in the Philippines official check-in sms etc are never sent from there.
