Qantas Lounge Guest Departs after Sponsor

Last time we guested someone, they were chased out as soon as we had left
Can confirm that this did not happen, as of, early this week ... but as @RealtimeY mentioned, if the lounge folks choose to ask the guests to leave once the sponsor had departed from the lounge, then there isn't much that can be done ...

Probably when you guested me in!

Then they should be more specific

So if the guests flight is at 2pm and yours at 5pm all good
The other way around, throw the guest out?
That’s a narrow interpretation which fails to consider
“Must be on a flight on the same day”. In the case of narrow and broad, that to my mind means the broad prevails.
Otherwise write your guest must be on a flight on the same day that’s scheduled to depart before your flight
I get it. But their lounge, their rules (and their interpretation of the rules).

I guess if you are no longer there then they are not your guest. A guest normally “accompanies” you.

[Hows that for alliteration]

Perhaps when a guest is invited in, then there is mention at the desk that they will need to accompany the member out when they depart. I'd expect the BP to be checked so only needs to be stated where there is a time difference in departure.
