Qantas Invests $114 million in Jetstar Japan

Like refurbing 20+ A330s, or new lounges in LAX, (and recently HKG and SIN) -- suspect its a larger bill for all these combined.

$114m would only buy a single A320 plane outright (albeit in this case probably covers the startup lease costs on 5-10 aircraft and some additional losses), -- not big $$s when you have a startup expanding.
 
I thought it wasn't too long ago when QF said they were losing billions of dollars and will not be putting money in Darth Vader's little toy?
