Qantas increases stake in Jetstar Japan


Would be nice to see Qantas Money being invested in QFI rather than Jetstar

Like refurbing 20+ A330s, or new lounges in LAX, (and recently HKG and SIN) -- suspect its a larger bill for all these combined.

$114m would only buy a single A320 plane outright (albeit in this case probably covers the startup lease costs on 5-10 aircraft and some additional losses), -- not big $$s when you have a startup expanding.

From what I read, it's a joint investment between JAL and QF, with only $37 million being invested initially.
