SYD-NLK $999 return in J
What Ive noticed in the past past is when NLK is on sale its because there is no accommodation available for the dates, so it works for the locals not so much for holiday makers.

Will take a look, i do not need SCs as already have enough flights booked to more than requalify WP, but have never been to Norfolk Island.

Emirates have a similar sale (ending the same date) to its destinations, that emails are currently going out to promote. I have not checked the fares on each to see if they are coincidentally, the same.

I guess this means that the DSC will be next!

Great timing for my Johannesburg return trip, falls in the allowed dates and $2000 off the J price my Travel Agent it was going to book this week 🙂. I don’t need DSC on my current plan travel.
Well, they sucked me in. I pointed out that fare to my travel agent, including the 'valid for travel between' dates who in turn pointed out that it actually wasn’t a sale fare, but was the same fare that she was going to book for me anyway. Also, In my haste working off my phone in between sessions in the gym, I didn’t notice that the fare she quoted included a bunch of side trips that I’m doing in Africa. 🙄

Anyway, beware following the links on the sale email as they can lead you to some decidedly non-sale fares.

And in the Y cabin...the "sale" prices to SIN from PER are nearly 200 dollars more than what they were 3 months ago (for 2024!) Thanks QF!! 🫤

I have been watching BKK, NAN and DPS J fares and are pretty much the same @RooFlyer

Roll on DSC promo - where no doubt they will only have saver and flex fares 🫣

The sale has halved the cost of a trip to the US in school holidays but we already have CR seats so not much interest there.

OT but there’s actually very limited “hotel” accommodation on NLK period (what there is, is usually pre-booked for the various Bowling and RSL club tour groups!).

Look on AirBnB and other holiday rental sites. But be aware, you need wheels to get around. Most holiday rental places can arrange a car. You only need a couple of days to see most things.

F sale Sydney to London are New Zealand prices less 20% (ie $13,501). These used to go for $9,999
Inflation is a thing

Nice to see pay later gives a few days to sort out just how to pay for it !

Well for a itinerary that was going to be over $3,000, in Y prior to the sale for JUN/JUL managed to get a mixed Y/Y+ for $2,500
If I stayed with Y on both legs , SYD-SFO/LAX-SYD would've come in under $1500

Not much of a sale, for example cost SYD -> CDG is like 2.2k - 3k which seems steep for economy without any sale in general, and it's only for some very very specific dates....

Qantas at it's best.

I have put a hold on MEL-YVR return in business for $5999. Felt like a good deal to me... Please tell me it is haha..

I canned an award flight SIN to MEL via SYD in Y+/J to a revenue Y direct at the cost of $130 a passenger and return of 74000 points (after points penalty and subsequent points to be earnt). I doubt BA Y+ is worth all those points for that price, not to mention the joy of a domestic transfer.

Did you book this ?

And yes it’s a brilliant fare for QF
Should see what they’re asking now!
