Qantas-IndiGo partnership

I'm thinking if I should book 6E - fully aware of what's happening ATM. However, would it be right to assume that the issue at 6E is only for IND domestic and not internationals (say SIN-MAA/DEL-SIN) ?

Got a last minute trip end of this month - so confused ...
I believe the issue is systemwide for the company. If anything it'll affect international more than domestic given some of the restrictions wouldn't show up on a domestic flight like limiting night time long haul flying.

Seems Indigo has been given special exemptions to try to recover ops but still a big mess.

We have three flights in Jan (booked direct) - hoping they’ve got their sh$t together by then…!

So just catching up with the last couplr of days, seems Indigo has "stabilised" ops with the special exemption, but has been ordered to cut 10% of their flights by the Indian authorities (~200). Still need to address the original mandate for crew and pilot rest requirements with scheduling changes (not sure how long they have with it - also would pilots and crew strike if it takes too long?). Likely to face penalties from the government too given they were given 2 years to prepare for the Nov 1 deadline.

We have one in mid January from AGR - BOM. Only goes 3 days a week. Would be a disaster if cancelled.
One of ours is the opposite direction a little later. Our first is earlier in Jan - which could be done by road but in and out of BOM alternative would be Air India via DEL….

Obviously domestic related, but my colleagues are choosing to drive BLR to MAA instead of flying. They'd normally fly 6E but still avoiding other airlines due to the chaos.

You would hope though the airline would prioritise international, but who knows.

I would look for alternatives if booked on indigo in the next month or so.

Government has mandated 10% reduction of their network. Which means they will have to cancel 200+ flights daily.

I have quite a few flights booked with them over the next month and I will cancel all of them (with penalties)

Because hotel bookings become non refundable at that point and I have a complicated schedule and not all flights may be cancelled
You can still cancel the hotel bookings and hold off on the flight if there is no difference cancelling it later?
