I am one leaf (donation) away. There is zero benefit waiting longer right? Membership year in March, and I imagine green tier phased out by then.

Sometimes donation is on a % less promo @ChrisMars - worth waiting for ~500/750 less points?

Ah yea, could have waite for eofy. Too late I pulled the trigger, didnt want to miss out in case Qantas remove green tier without further notice.

qf it and green tier have failed me. I’ll collect my reward in the new year instead. 20sc short of wp right now hurts but at the same time I guess it was never guaranteed.

I’d recommend anyone aiming to speedrun gt to allocate a minimum of 2 months for the reward to show. In my case I had all 5 leaves showing weeks ago but still no reward.

Only 20 SC short! Call up and beg for a once-off waiver to have WP. I just last month got Gold renewed that way.

Please note: Beg = ask nicely with a good reason (a damn good reason is the screw up with the SC you earned already... I got PC with that sob-story 2-3 years ago)

I currently have an EV electricity plan with Red Energy. If I change to Qantas electricity plan, with green energy, will I still get leaf if not new customer? Other option would be to add new gas plan I suppose.

Adding Green Power as an existing customer gets you the tick, I have done it twice (FYI: no such thing as Green Gas)

1700 SC is another reason to mention when you call them.

Starting rant:

QF sold you a bill of goods - you jump thru 1,400 hoops and earn 1,400 SC, they give you WP. Simple Enough

You jumped those hoops, you earned those SC. You held up your end, they now need to hold up their end. It's not much of an ask to give you WP now, when you will be WP an hour after wheels up on your flight in a few days

Yes. Got the reward to choose a few days ago.

That’s what I was thinking, but will wait to see what the ‘3hrs free’ deals look like from July 1.

If you are already red customer, calling to be moved on the green plan works too. Leafs comes out a few days after the next bill is payed.

Not on experience (yet), but the FAQs state:
Green Tier benefits will conclude on the program retirement date. If you have earned a bonus reward but haven't selected it yet, don’t worry - you’ll have 90 days from that date to choose between 10,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits, as per the terms and conditions of the program.
