Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

GreenPower is an extra 3.3c/kWh incl. GST, so I don't think it's a huge burden for the quarter where my power bills are historicaly low. I've subscribed. Already have 4 of 5 GT leaves activated after 12 days, so not a huge effort for 50 SC.
Just to close this out, my Red Energy bill was issued, paid and the green leaf appeared at the same time the points were credited, a week later. Took the 50 SC.

Huh, well 4 seats just opened up in J - no idea why expert flyer said it was zero’d out before. However this means that I now really do need to hit WP before I fly if possible. Just sent an email in and will call to escalate to see if it’s possible to get the 50sc credited in the next few days. Will report back 🙃

Good luck, I tried escalating, they refused to transfer me to someone, just said it's policy and that I wouldn't be in the lounge for my trip last weekend.

Wouldn't be upset if the policy was applied consistently but it seems to range from hours to 3 months for some people to get the credits after doing the last leaf activity

Hi, just call, and hang up mid sentence (to make it sound like a drop out) if it sounds like it's not going to go your way. I just called to beg for the last couple of SC needed to retain Gold... 1st I got Fiji (I didn't know they had a Fiji call centre!)... she couldn't have been nicer, but had to transfer me as that was not something they could help with. Then got Manilla, as always super-polite, she put me on hold for a few minutes and got it all sorted. I find a kind word on a call is usually better received than a kind word in an email. Best of luck... over 2 weeks after getting "you can choose a reward" message, it must be a simple thing to give you that choice - dumb question, are you using more than one OS to check, like phone as well as laptop?

Also, where do you go to see J0W0 and the like? I read business rewards offer that, but damned if I can see it... would be a good trick to know

Yup just got the equivalent - prompt email back saying:

“We kindly ask that you wait until next week for your Green Tier benefit to become available for redemption in your account.”

So after I fly. Wish they had more discretion on this.

Or even better than discretion - fix the IT. Absolutely no reason why the reward option couldn’t/shouldn't be instantly available as soon as the 5th leaf ticks over.

Given they are discontinuing the program I suspect it’s been given a ZBB, zero baseline budget in corporate speak, or “not worth spending the money on” in the real world

Perhaps try this one: I sent an email to request they send me a WP bag tag. Someone from the Philippines called to confirm my address, and then asked if there was anything else they could help with before disconnecting - I mentioned i was waiting on the green tier reward choice, they said they'd look into it and it should be available within 3 days. (I wasn't quite at the 3 weeks the earlier email exchange had asked me to wait at this point).
I was actually quite shocked when the choice popped up in my account in the next day or two.
