Thinking this through, if they did change the rule, one could claim this year's this year, and next year's next. The lost opportunity would be claiming both next year.
I deliberately left the donation to last - which seemed like a good idea at the time (since they rarely discount these points only purchases!).

I was only able to 'see' the options at the start of my 'next year' for status achieved from 'last year'. Someone was told by their Rep the rule has changed but who knows...
Your GT “Year” aligns with your QFF member year. From memory, first time around when you earn GT, you have that “status” for the remainder of your QF year plus the following year. But you can select your reward straight away (upto 90 days window).

In subsequent years, you can retain GT anytime within the member year but your reward is selectable at the start of the next member year. Similar to PC/PC+.
Some peeps here have challenged that and got their reward early others still seem to be getting the choice at the start of the new member year.
I‘m assuming the anniversary model and fortunately I don’t need the additional SCs this year.
Emails to both the frequent flyer and customer care email finally got the green leaf manually credited. However, in saying that whilst it's showing 5/5 - the reward hasn't popped up just yet. Not sure if that's a system issue given I already have green tier until 31 January.
Expect the rewards shortly after 31 Jan.
Those days the reward will be made available right at the beginning of your new membership year.

I did get an email earlier, as this is all new to me, to get my final green leaf as SG, I can go through Q Marketplace to get this 20% off for donation?
Yea if you didnt yet collect the green leaf of the give back category, you can do it now and save some points. Ends 31 dec.
