Update on the sage of receiving my Green Tier benefits. For those just joining us from home:
- I performed all qualifying activities to earn Green tier back on January 16, 2023, even receiving an email from QF congratulating me on earning the status
- Several weeks pass with the QFF website showing that my Green Tier wasn't extended for next year
- Call up QFF in March looking to get this sorted with the agent reaching out to the escalation team by email and being assured that I'd receive a call within a week
- No call within a week arrives so I call back to enquire only to be told to be patient and hang tight because the team receives a high volume of emails
- Decided to call back today to enquire what is going on. Rep looked at case, spoke with prior agent who basically said what they told me three months ago (we emailed them but haven't received a response yet). They decided to follow up and hopefully I'll get a response back soon.
Honestly this whole process is frustrating. If status credits from a QF flight I booked didn't credit I'd have them in a jiffy with one call. But for green tier where I had to spend considerable time and money to attain I get the run around. And for me earning that 50 status credits via the program is crucial since it'll get me that bit closer to earning World Platinum status with Qantas.
If I don't hear back from them by next week my next point of contact will be Uncle Alan and the escalations team.
