Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Wow and I thought I'd been shafted paying $30 a few months ago. I'm certain it was $10 last year...
Used to be $20… Now a Tassie and SA holiday homes are the same… Hopefully another promo might help…

Meanwhile, I just donated at the reduced points amount. Didn’t bother with the sustainable delivery (that can come free with some QF wine!).

Ergh...guess they realised there was a lot of climate conscious Tassie residents. Donation at the reduced amount, just jumped on that for OH, every little helps!

Typically that's the only one I have outstanding on my account, and I want the SCs to fall into next year, which is six months away...oh well, I won't lose too much sleep over 480 points, but still!

Was sure I clicked post on that last night. Anyway, two green leaves posted in the last 9 hours, I'm impressed!

So for OH's account this year I've donated at the reduced rate, offset a $25 Woolies (WISH) GC for $1, and done the saveful thing. I guess offsetting the house and a flight are the two left, just need her to fly somewhere nearby in the meantime!

Didn't do Green on hers last year, but order history confirms that indeed Tassie was $15 originally, and buying the offset for $1 on its own used to work (I know that's been dead for years). Also climate positive wine delivery isn't an option any more (link dead), but there's a lot more "Green leaf" wine than there used to be (no Guinness any more though, that got me a Green leaf and 1,000 points a year or two back).

Yes, I usually leave the “Give back” to last but took the opportunity. Leaf posted same day also (2 of 5 required by July 2025)…

Think the QF Green hand isn't talking to the Energy Red hand for this year's leaf.
I did have this issue in January to get green 🍃

6 months later, have had to send through bills and contract again.
I await the outcome.

Looks like promo code DAD15 drops the donation points price to 2720 points until Sept 1 ;)
Used the DAD15 code last night to donate to Ozharvest with climate positive delivery for 2830 points. Both leaves turned green this morning so now on 4 leaves. Just waiting to offset my holiday house, hopefully with a discount code, sometime in March onwards to qualify for green tier again.

Just did the holiday home at $50 (and realised it was $20 only 363 days ago... talk about inflation) and ran the maths over the whole year.

Valuing points at 2c, it came out to basically $100 in exchange for 50 SC, which is still good value if you're playing that game.

How long should it take for the offset flying leaf to appear when offsetting an upcoming flight through MMB? Mixed reports saying it often doesn't work, and others saying within a couple of days.

Just as a recent data point… I did mine in the 1st week of September. Future [existing] trans-Tasman CR booking and paid offset wholly with points. Leaf appeared inside of 2 days.

Cheers,
Matt.

Once you have the green tier showing points club membership showing, and make a points booking, does the estimated SCs ever get shown on the booking page, or is it just this?
"If applicable, Qantas Points and/or Status Credits will be added to your account"

For regular bookings, you will see something like this:
"Earn 800 Qantas Points and 10 Status Credits"

[edited to swap the green tier/points club]

Membership year ending September 30th and still need to earn my "Choose sustainable" leaf. Was hoping for something reasonable on Qantas Wines, but current "deals" are lacklustre. Does anyone have any recommendations for a quick and easy way to secure the leaf, or a reasonable wine offering I'm not seeing?

Any wine delivered “sustainably”?

Or anything from QF shopping “delivered”?

Sorry, I realise that's how you can do it. My previous post may have been poorly worded. Probably going to end up with wines, but was hoping for better deals with bonus points so had been wondering if there were any recommendations for wine and/or something quick and cheap on QF shopping that could be sustainably delivered?
