Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Looks like we’re going to get the choice of the new style (non RFID) bag tag or free GT leaf when we requalify QFF status next.

Think I’ll take the tag on the first go around in August.

The bag tags are being discussed here.

My new year has just started and my leaf for 'Reduce your impact' (Wellbeing quiz or Saveful App) is already green. :)

Yes, that happened for me back last August. Plus I had the Quiz already back in the App a few months prior (I only just did the quiz again a few days ago).

For anyone wanting to buy an offset of emissions for your car/home for a green leaf, they're offering double points (20 points per dollar spent) until June 30. Suspect they've added in a price increase with this though at the same time - mine now costs $15 more than it did last year.

Interesting. I received 50 SCs in early November which is the beginning of my 2023-2024 year. Because of some unexpected circumstances I got my 5th leaf for this year a fortnight ago. Surprisingly I was then asked if I wanted points or SCs and I said SCs. I have noticed that these SCs have now been credited which means that I have received 100 SCs in 8 months!

Yes, I was surprised to get that option (2nd GT year) but sitting on them until next member year.

Sounds like the prompt was carried over from Green Tier achieved late in your 2022-2023 membership year?

Just shifting this discussion into this thread, where it belongs:

Round #4 went to Qantas with this email I received this morning:

Thank you for contacting the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre.

Hope this email finds you well.

Apologies for the delay response we understand that your request should be responded in a timely manner.

We appreciate you wanting to add PNR Booking 6MW2M8 to your Green tier as part of your "Carbon Offset" Category. However, as per checking booking, carbon offset was added after the member took the first trip on April 24, thus, ineligible for Green Tier.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Round #5

I have just gotten off the phone to the QF Loyalty number, where the very nice lady there has looked at my correspondence, and can see I did indeed get a Green Leaf credited last membership year for 238 points on the return leg of my PER-KTA-PER flight.

All I am asking is the same occur this membership year.

At my request, she has now asked for this to be escalated...

With just 19 days left in my membership year, this is coming down to the wire...

In recent experience, how soon does the email with the GT reward arrive after the last leaf completion? A friend “just realised” (🤦‍♂️) he is short 50 SCs (membership anniversary 30 June) and I’m not sure if he will have enough time - T&Cs state 21 days. Has anyone got it sooner?

Usually about 48hrs.

Can I confirm from someone who has received award recently - when the bonus appears, do you get the remainder of the current month plus three months, or, the remainder of the current month plus two more?
E.g. if qualifying in July do you receive through end Sept or Oct?

Today I'll need to place my fifth call to round out my Green Tier journey this year. This is to see if I can get my 50 SC bonus for my Green Tier. It's been an interesting journey over the past 2 months...
First two calls were around the wellbeing app not reflecting with the tick, they managed to manually click that over. Third call was due to even though having 5 ticks to achieve green tier it didn't show. Last call was around Green Tier showing what I thought was correctly, however on closer inpsection with an expiry date that showed "today", yet changed each day. A week after that I finally got the congrats and you've unlocked email - select your reward! Click on the link which takes you to the Green Tier page - no ability to select the reward. At least the website correctly shows that I have Green Tier - I even got the lovely animation on the phone app - still no cigar...
