Qantas gift voucher cancelled - what happens?

I just booked a Qantas flight using a gift voucher, but realizsd after I confirmed the booking that I selected the wrong date. So I cancelled within 24 hours. But what happens to the gift voucher? Is it refunded to you as money or does it go back to being a gift voucher?

It will be sitting in the system as a credit. I couldn't get mine to show up on the website but the staff say it is sitting there behind the scenes as a credit.
