I heard a few weeks back QF did a short trial offering dine on demand with a new menu in F on QF11. Potentially testing the waters as one of these enhancements?

Bring back “Pre-Order” in J wouldn’t be a bad idea either. No idea why that COVID casualty has returned…

Probably dnata. They had just taken over when covid started and I imagine they'd prefer not to have the extra hassle.

Never came back for BA either.

OT, but I park it in the “Careful what you wish for” category. Yes, selfishly one can eat when they want but if 99% of the cabin is trying to sleep and that one person is clinking and clattering their cutlery, it’s not great. Similarly, super fast wifi that allows selfish a-holes to live stream something sans headphones or FaceTime the family on speaker ain’t great either….

No, voice calls or listening to media without headphones is not permitted. It’s usually a standard announcement to remind people.

I was shocked flying QR that they have an announcement to “ensure your device volume is low or use headphones”, I can’t believe an airline like QR would allow people to listen on speaker.
