Qantas Flights very slow to post?

Maybe they are waiting to see if the end of the world happens today so that they don't have to pay those points...?

Ha ........ yes maybe! :p

I wondered if they may be doing some end of year system overhaul ..................

Well.. end of the world passed... and then my points posted for my Monday flights. Are these two events connected...? I suspect we'll never know. ;)

I wonder if it is because of the DSC offers? I know they are posted separately but it seems the slowdown began when the offer(s) started.

No postings from my flights yesterday but I'm not waiting on any critical points/SCs so I'll enjoy the wait.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

For years, all my QF points and SCs for flights on QF metal have credited within 24 hours, so that I have always thought it was a fully automated process (barring interrupted ops etc.). However, on Tuesday I did CBR-SYD-WEL and there was nothing by this morning, Friday, which was highly unusual and rather worrying (maintaining WP for third year is going to take a lot of effort this year!!) -- so I went through the process of entering a claim. Within around 6 hrs it was all credited, but now I'm not sure if that was in the "normal" course of events or in response to the claim.

So what is the process here? Is there some kind of manual check/vetting of all our points and credits before they are posted?

{I must admit that I also asked myself this question when recently I was credited points and SC for a QF seat on a codeshare flight which was cancelled with a mechanical issue just before boarding, and then I also got the points and SCs for the re-routing. Should I have to spend my own money to call QF to have this rectified, it being a problem not of my making....?}

Why would you call QF? Two sets of SC's for the one flight I'd take it and run.

Yeah, well, how's this? My JQ flight posted 24 hours before 2 QF flights, all taken on 22 December. JQ came in on 23rd and 2 QF flights on 24th.

I left Sydney to LHR on the 17 Dec and arrived 18 Dec. Still no posting of SCs or points

Shock horror... the points and SCs from my flight last night have already posted.

Of course I'm glad for it, but it's just been quite a while for me since they have posted so quickly. The last few months have been at least a 2 day delay.

Hopefully things are back to how they used to be... that is, posting quickly rather than slowly.

Couldn't see a more recent topic so this one will do. Very impressed with Qantas posting and never more so than this morning.

Just arrived in Perth after QF401 SYD - MEL and QF485 MEL - PER and by the time we made it to the hire car all points were posted including my next 8k status credit bonus. The above flights (JASA) now show that I am a true AFF'er!! :D

Now that is service, unlike Avis who do not have their 'preferred service' operating in Perth. SWMBO (who booked the car) is now throttling a member of the Avis team in the terminal as I type!

Sun and Margaret River for 3 days!! :)

Have to agree... as the original poster... the problem that I saw at the time is now totally gone.. points are posting very fast indeed.

Flew Qf 8 Bne-syd yesterday and it still hasn't posted. Oddly, my later syd-AKL flight has posted already.

I am finding that my Qantas Flights post very quickly, in most cases within an hour of me getting off flight except for the flights I do to NZ. They are usually overnight. My VA flights are taking around 6 weeks and require follow up.

- same, almost instantaneous. Even with Jetstar. I wouldn't be stressed yet if they haven't arrived from yesterday - bearing in mind it's a long weekend.

Codeshares are a different story. I had to chase mine and Mrs VC, but Miss VCs points were in a few days after the flight.
