I'm interested in finding out about the direct Perth-Rome flights in 2027. They don't seem to up for sale (generally) yet, but there are a few odd days in June 2027 where they are available to book (both for cash and for classic-plus points). They are not available except for 3 or 4 odd days where both cash and points fares are available. Any ideas on when general sales will open? (I'm interested in cash purchase, not Rewards seats.)

Do you mean Sale as in discounted fares, or do you mean Sale as in open to purchase?

Thank you. Yes, I do mean just for cash purchase. I’m looking at the Qantas website at the moment and I can’t see any direct Perth to Rome flights for sale… am I doing something wrong?

Currently QF is operating QF5/6 as a daily for the 2026 European Summer. This is a new change from the usual 3/week frequency Tues/Thurs/Sat.
It is unknown if QF is going to do daily in the 2027 European Summer.

Yes, thanks.

That's what is confusing me. There hasn't been an announcement, and flights generally haven't been released, but there are 8 random dates in the middle of the year showing direct Perth-Rome flights available. June 17, 20, 22, 27, 29 and July 1 and 4. As they haven't made an announcement as to whether the route will operate, I wonder why those 8 dates - the only ones for the year - are showing up?

Yes, I'm looking for a May date. This route has started in May in the last few years. I just don't understand, when the route hasn't been released and no announcement made, why there are a few random June and July dates. It seems odd to me.

The PER-FCO route has traditionally started in mid June. Last year they started it earlier and ended it later, but that was intended as a one-off.
