First post!

Found so much valuable info on this site, keep it coming!

First long haul on 10/6 on QF93 to LAX then on QF107 to JFK for 3 weeks in the US. Return trip from Boston to Dallas and returning on QF8 ex Dallas (hopefully make it across the Pacific!)

Just after some comments from people with experience on any of those flights. Any notable things I should be aware of? One thing I have heard from a good friend is that their flight on A380 to LAX was freezing cold and told me to rug up but another has told me it's far too warm and to wear shorts and shirt!

Any comments would be appeciated. Am very keen to to take off and hopefully catch the travel bug!

Hi thommo9, :)

On my recent journey back from LAX on a 380 I was seated next to the emergency exit and it was cool/cold compared to other parts of the cabin. I usually find it too warm so this was actually a pleasant change for me.

My advice is to wear layers, then you'll be prepared for anything.

Temperature is normally targeted at around 23 degrees. But that's an average in each cabin, so some parts will be warmer and some cooler.

It's always fairly cold near the doors on all of the aircraft.
