Qantas fees different on app vs website

Hello,

This may be a known thing or I've made a mistake but anyway:

I wanted to book classic reward flight PER - DXB business DEC 8th

On the website it is 77,000 points plus $489 fees

On the qantas app it is 77000 points + $79 fees

I successfully booked the app tickets and it still only charged me what it said it would.

Are they going to charge the difference at the airport or something?? Or is qantas going to ask for more later?

I'm confused!

After you search a flight, it defaults to 'pay in $' but theres a tab for 'points' as well once the search results are up.

I think the outcome is somewhat obvious when RedRoo or someone else from QF see this thread....loophole closed!

Ah. Haven't been able to get a classic award price yet though. I assume it only works for classic awards in QF metal?

Confirmed for that route anyway. In my limited testing could not get it on QF coded or QF metal flights, but appears to work for EK coded flights. Better book fast!!

Edit - tested SYD-DXB with a F award on QF and EK. For QF, website and app is the same, for EK, website is $401.79, app is $86.79

Tested in J too on Emirates routes. Pretty confident that this works for all EK coded classic awards.
