Have approx. 180K QFF points in my account and 110K in spouse account. Looking at consolidating points in one account by transferring the max 100K from largely inactive spouse account into my account. Primarily to avoid risk of lapsing points and ease of booking flights later.
Would appreciate any advice as to whether this makes sense or if I should them alone for some reason
Many thanks

Nothing to stop you doing 2 x transfers 100k then 10k and moving the lot.

Makes sense if she has not much activity and is at risk of expiry, and your a/c has activity.

The transfers are instantaneous in my experience, so 'ease of booking' not really a factor, as you can transfer at the time they are required anyway

Hi mkane and welcome to AFF.

Provided you have activity on the main account, that does indeed make sense. Don't forget you are able to make up to 4 transfers in a year, so you can indeed transfer the full amount of points should you wish to.

Although the Woolworths avenue has closed for the time being (ignoring the targeted offers), there are other simple ways of keeping the spouse's account active such as using the QFF Toolbar once every so often (https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/partners/toolbar).

Can't see anything wrong with your strategy.

To keep your points active why not apply for a credit card offering with a sign up bonus?

That is the method I use, Clazgirls account is emptied into my account a couple of times a year
