Qantas Domestic lounges when flying Emirates First Class

I have booked my parents a reward booking on Emerites First Class tonight flying out of Brisbane at 2am. They will be arriving at Brisbane Airport (Domestic) around 8pm so it will be a few hours before I can check-in to the International Airport.

Since they won't be able to access the Brisbane Emerites International lounge till around 11pm, I wondered if they could store their bags and access the Qantas Brisbane domestic lounge?

It appears that Emerites First Class passangers can access Qantas domestic lounges but I have never heard of someone accessing a domestic lounge before an international flight at the same airport. I would be interested to know if anyone has tried this.

Emirates (note spelling) has an earlier flight departing at 9 pm so why not try checking in at their counters around 8 pm (or earlier) in the International terminal? The last QF domestic flight is at 8:40 pm tonight so the lounge will be closed by then.

This would make the most sense and if travelling F I can't see any reason they'd deny the request to check in while they are doing EK435 check in. EK lounge is open from 5pm until their flight boards, and the QF Intl lounge is open until 11:30pm.

And I'd ponder whether they'd even be allowed into QF domestic Biz if not checked in? Unless of course eligible from the arriving flight.

QF dom closes around 2030, better to just longe crawl the Int lounges, keeping in mind it’s a long walk between the two

Update…..they went straight to international. When they arrived, Check-in for Emirates was packing up from the previous flight boarding. Initially they were told they would have to wait till it reopened in an hour or two. That was before the staff realised they were flying first and they reopened the check-in just for them! So went straight to the Lounge.

It was a mistake giving my parents my “hard earned” points from card churning. They enjoyed it so much that I expect they will ask for more!

What a great result! It's amazing what a little F on the booking can 'open up'. I hope they have/had a fantastic flight!

The enjoyed every minute. Planned to sleep all the way Dubai but only got 4 hours as they stayed up because they were so excited by the unlimited Cavier, on board shower etc. Mum, who says she hates "fancy things", really loved it!
