Qantas Domestic Getaway Deals, booking 5 months in advance?

Just received an email from QF regards to a sale they are having for domestic airfares for flights in October to December, but they need to be booked by midnight tomorrow night.

Just out of interest, is there anyone here who would consider booking this far out for domestic (eg SYD-BNE) flights just on a whim? (Which is what it would be given you have roughly 36 hours to make a decision in)

I don't know how others operate, but the earliest I've ever book dom travel has been about 6 weeks out, most of my dom travel is for trips leaving within a couple of weeks (or in 16 hours time as one CBR-ADL trip once was, technically I could have used on-line checkin at the same time as booking)

Well i've booking out to september in the sale last week. But then I have regular know travel. Didn't notice the sale fares in september. But did notice cheap flights over the July school holidays. only have 3 more flights to book between now and mid september.
