Just bought my lotto ticket. Less than $20, zero points and greater chance of winning.

I'm unable to sit on a computer 24/7 hitting refresh every 2 seconds in the vague hope I'll get one of these. Having a life is just so sad I guess.

That was the LA one today, they took payment too and everything, 10 minutes later I got that message! :(
Starting to sound a bit dodgy. Was there ever an actual seat in the first place?

If they took payment, legally it may be that they have accepted your offer and there is a binding contract, which they have then repudiated.

OT, but the mcdonalds monopoly fraud story is very interesting if you need something to read in between refreshing your airbnb page.
Reading this article was actually the most enjoyable thing I got out of this whole promotion so far, thanks for sharing. And I cannot believe I never heard of this fraud before (or, even worse, have somehow forgotten it completely)...

I would bet QF's and AirBnB's lawyers have been all over this and there is something in the fine print to the contrary. Pretty negligent if not...
