wallet.jpg wallet 2.jpg In the early 1980's Qantas started a campaign that was probably the forerunner to the loyalty programs we know today. They invited people to sign up to Qantas "Connections" for which, from memory, you got sent (by post of course) marketing material including quarterly travel magazines. Early adopters also got sent a stylish passport wallet. I signed up when international flying for me was merely a dream. As I was flying to India recently (my first SQ Suites experience) it occurred to me how durable the wallet has been. Boarding passes are now larger, and the need for a Travellers Cheques section has passed, but the wallet has been with me for over approx 500,000 international air miles and approx. 107 international segments.

My first international flight was with QF to LA on the 747 SP. Although QF is no longer my preferred airline their wallet looks like it will be with me for many more trips.

Anyone else still have their Connections wallet?

Wow. Very cool. The "Made in Australia" stamp certainly indicates its age!
