It will depend on how regularly they offer these confirmed paid upgrades and at what price. To be seen.So loyalty is dead

The “price” being the key thing. Expect not cheap. It will depend on how regularly they offer these confirmed paid upgrades and at what price. To be seen.
So I emailed the P1 VIP Service team about this and they confirmed that domestic CR upgrades would continue to be instantly confirmed if there is sufficient inventory available. Now that you mention it, I went to the Classic Upgrade Rewards page and there’s no longer any mention of instant confirmations on domestic flights (or maybe I’m missing it)..
In response to your first question, I can confirm that the ability to request and confirm an upgrade from available inventory will remain unchanged and continue to be offered.
Nice one!So I emailed the P1 VIP Service team about this and they confirmed that domestic CR upgrades would continue to be instantly confirmed if there is sufficient inventory available.
Here was their specific reply:
Nope.. Have a points upgrade request on a Y+ -> J for QF11 24JUN, and nothing so far.Has anyone actually receive an offer yet?
So 8 days out.. presumably on QF834 or QF836 (both 737s)Someone posted this on Facebook (not mine). Apparently they were on the red starter fare.View attachment 510578
Not looking good at all for CRU requests..So 8 days out.. presumably on QF834 or QF836 (both 737s)
Only QF834 seems to have any J left..
And QF website currently saying a ridiculous $3100 for J vs $1800 for a flexible Y..
Utterly crazy for a 4hr domestic flight.
Made the front page of the NT news yesterday that domestic airfares were half to a quarter of the international operations. And QF website currently saying a ridiculous $3100 for J vs $1800 for a flexible Y..
Utterly crazy for a 4hr do
