I am planning on gifting my Comp Gold FF status to a friend (one of the options of the 2400 SCs), how long does the comp status last?

I am not sure if it is the same. The donor and recipient will most likely have different membership year anniversaries. So it could be to the end of the recipient's year, plus 12 months, or the donor's +12.

But at least 12 months.

There was some recent discussion at the tail end of this thread, with the consensus being that it aligned with the donor's year. Notwithstanding the wording of the T&Cs which suggests otherwise.

Because it is aligned with the donor's membership anniversary it will always be at LEAST 12 months - depending on when the gifter attains the 2400 SC in their year. For example, if your anniversary is June 30, and you got to 2400 now (end of April) then the giftee will have Gold through to the end of June, 2019.

So, it can be as much as 23 months of Gold to gift if one earns 2400 SC quickly enough in their membership year However it can never be less than 12.

I don't think so, but they may not be able to access a lounge without an adult.

Only really in respect of the gifted status. It will revert back once the gifted Gold has ended.

It didn't for SWMBO, her "year' is still aligned with mine a decade after I gifted SG to her. That includes her subsequently Qualifying for SG in her own right.
