Anecdotal evidence suggests that the success rate of bags coming out as a priority is fairly hit and miss, however if you are referring to the old orange priority baggage tags, these should be printed on your actual luggage tag.

I’m not sure the ACA will be able to do much for you.
On one 4 day trip to Singapore from Melbourne, arrived at midnight., my bags never came out. Long story short (I was a Lifetime Member and Platinum) they arrived at my hotel the day I was leaving. they did provide me with cash for clothes etc, and being a very frequent flyer at the time i complained to the then Head of Ff Neil Thompson. My bags went to if I recall London, Paris, Frankfurt somewhere else then back to Singapore. I was travelling business and at the time there was a double point and Tier credit campaign, so it was quite a few times the normal points. I demanded the points my bags had travelled at the same multiplier rate and they eventually allocated them to my account. Lots of points if I recall.
