I understand that if I purchase a domestic Economy ticket with Qantas, you are entitled to 7kg carry on and 23kg checked baggage.

I need to bring an additional checked bag around 20kg,

I also have the American Express $450 Qantas Travel Credit that I need to use before it expires to book a flight on the AMEX website. So I was hoping use this credit to book an Economy Flight with Qantas along with paying for the additional bag at the same time. Does anyone know if this is possible to do on the AMEX website (purchase the additional bag), or do I have to book via AMEX, then go to Qantas website to add the additional bag?

Also can anyone tell me the cost for this additional 20kg luggage? I can't see to find a price anywhere.

Thank you

Additional baggage allowance charges

If you already have a booking, then simply log in to manage booking to check how much it will cost to pre purchase additional baggage for your flight.
If you don’t have a booking yet, you can check the price and purchase additional baggage at the same time as you make your flight booking.
Note: No single item of checked baggage may exceed 32kg (70lb).

I don't think it's possible through an agent. Although you can book it through Amex then go to the Qantas site and purchase additional baggage there through qantas direct.

Any ideas how much it would be for a second checked bag of 20kg? Why can't I find this information out beforehand before making a booking?
