Just another dollop of marketees drivel and cough.

"Customers expect exciting retail experiences".

Really? in purchasing an airfare?

How about IT that works, fares that are competitive and delivering the services that you promise?

No? Well, by all means carry on with the Channel thing then

Qantas have no interest in addressing these issues as they don't directly generate revenue.

These "enhancements", while marketed as delivering a better experience for the traveller and travel agent, benefit Qantas more than anyone else. From what's mentioned in the screenshots I assume this will allow QF to link itinerary quotes/unconfirmed bookings (essentially warm sales leads) to a QFF profile, which they can use to then target the traveller with ads or offers while they are in the process of making travel arrangements.
