Qantas Ceasing 747 Transcon Services (Again)

747 pulled from SYD-PER?

Hi all,

I have a flight in november (QF581), and for some reason it has been changed from a 744 to a 763 instead.

Will this be on the new config? I hope so, otherwise I'll complain and get it changed to an A333 out of MEL or an A332 out of Syd (I'm coming from Canberra).

(It's through Pinpoint Group (citibank PMG), so I'm not sure if they'll change. I'm not super fussed, and will keep it as the 763 if it is the new refitted one, as I'm interested in seeing how it is.

QF have mentioned that they will be pulling the 747's off domestic duties (again).

They have mentioned something about the refurbed 767's taking over, but as we are in the early stages, there aren't that many around.

I wish you were right but the article specifically talks about "renovated 767s" and while I'll be curious to see the new interior, I'd prefer that to happen on a short hop to Brissy or Melbourne!

What day are you flying? Im on the Syd -Per flight on 5th November and at this stage still looks like a 747.

I believe 18th November is the last 747 flight from what I can see.

My April 2013 flight SYD-PER is still showing 747. I'd prefer it stayed that way.
